Q: What is mediamove® for Lexar Media?

A: mediamove for Lexar Media is media management software to move, share, and organize multimedia for your mobile phone. It allows you to easily transfer or “sideload” media files from your computer to your mobile memory card or vice versa. mediamove for Lexar Media comes preloaded on the Lexar High-Speed Mobile microSDHC card, so there’s no need to install the software on your computer.

Q: What does the software do?

A: mediamove for Lexar Media scans and locates all the videos, music, and photos on your PC and transfers them to your mobile memory card to be played back on your phone. The software also scans and locates media files on your card, allowing you to back them up to your computer. In addition, it enables you to preview your files or upload them to popular online social networks.

Q: To which online social networks is mediamove for Lexar Media connected?

A: At launch, you can use mediamove for Lexar Media to upload videos and photos directly to the YouTube website and Picasa™ Web Albums. Support for additional online services will be available as a downloadable upgrade by the end of 2009.

Q: What operating systems are supported?

A: mediamove for Lexar Media operates from desktop systems (as opposed to mobile phones) and currently works with Windows XP and Windows Vista. Support for Mac systems will be available by the end of 2009, and support for Windows 7 will be available when that operating system is released.

Q: How do I run mediamove for Lexar Media?

A: If you haven’t already, insert your Lexar High-Speed Mobile microSDHC card into your mobile phone to allow the phone to configure your card with the proper folders for videos, music, and photos. IMPORTANT: Do not format the card. Properly remove the card from your phone and insert it into the included Lexar USB card reader. When you insert the reader into the USB port of your computer, mediamove for Lexar Media will launch automatically.
