Larry Angier
Photography is my lifestyle. My parents helped by driving me and building a darkroom. Neighbors opened doors leading to eventual
study under Ansel Adams.
Since high school, I've traveled The Rural West shooting what I love. My work appears in Sunset and Nevada. Books include:
America's Heartland, Romance and Reality of Ranching and both California 24/7 and Nevada 24/7, calendars include Jackasses,
Cats, and Outhouses. Commercial and industrial clients include Georgia Pacific, HMF Logistical Solutions and Amador Council
on Tourism. With the web, I'm not isolated as a rural photographer. With digital tools, the magic continues toward new
and exiting images yet to be imagined.
I travel the Rural West and photograph what I love, including old characters, jackasses, outhouses, and other icons. I
work in the state of the art, but with traditional quality in both film and digital.
