How
do I install Shoot & Share?

To
install Shoot & Share, locate the executable file that was downloaded, and
double click on it. Follow the
instructions that appear in the installation process.
When prompted for a registration number, enter the number found with the
CD.

How do I upload my
picture to Printroom.com? |
|
A:
|
To upload a picture to Printroom.com, you first need to log-in or create a
Printroom.com account.
(You can create a new account by clicking on
File - Photos at Printroom - Account Settings and then click on Create a
New Printroom account). First,
select the pictures you wish to upload (you may select more than one by holding
the shift key). Then click the
button with the picture of a mailbox in the top left hand corner.
If it prompts you to log into your account, do so, and click the ok
button. Choose the album you want
to upload to, or create a new album, and click ok. |

How
do I edit pictures?

There
are two main ways to edit a picture with Shoot & Share.
In the thumbnail view, you can rotate the picture by using the arrow
buttons on the menu bar, or right clicking on the picture and going to “quick
process.” To use the image
editor, double click on the picture, and features like cropping, red-eye
removal, photo enhancement, as well as many others are available to you.

How
do I email pictures?

Select
the picture by either clicking on it, or double clicking it.
Then click on the Send Email Feature on the menu bar, which is the button
with the envelope on it. Follow the
on-screen instructions if prompted. Then
enter the email address you want to send the picture to, and send the message.

Can
I run a slideshow with images from a directory, and all its sub-directories?

|
Yes,
Shoot & Share uses the images in the thumbnail screen as the images for the
slideshow. To show all the images
from a directory as well as all it’s sub-directories, you need to right click
on the directory, and click on “Show Child Folders.”
Run the slideshow by clicking on the slideshow button.

Can I
preview the effects of a filter before applying it to the entire picture?

|
Yes you can, in the
viewer/editor, click on image, then filter, and then select filter. From there
you can choose the filter and view the changes in the windows. |

Can Shoot & Share
print multiple thumbnails like a contact sheet?

Yes you can print a contact sheet by
choosing “Print Index” from the file menu.

Troubleshooting Questions

When
I swap CF cards in my reader, I cannot see the folders and images from the new
card, but I see the folders of my old card?
|
|
A: |
You
need to refresh the folder list. Press Ctrl-F5, or right click on the
drive, and click on Refresh Tree and your thumbnails will appear. |

I get
an error messages saying that I am missing odbc32.dll, and Shoot & Share
will not run.
|

|
You
must download the Shoot & Share version for Windows 98. |

I
cannot upload directly to the printroom.com shopping cart when using Internet
Explorer.

|
You
need to delete your printroom.com cookies.
To do this go to your cookies folder (c:\windows\cookies) and delete any
cookie that has “printroom” anywhere in the file name.

I’m
trying to email a picture to a friend using hotmail, but when I log on, and the
message appears, the file is not attached.
|

A: |
The file may be too large to
attach to a Hotmail account. The
size limit of hotmail file attachment is around 1.5MB.
You can make the image smaller by resizing the picture in the image
editor.

I
inserted my digital film into my JumpShot Cable, and Shoot & Share does not
automatically run.
|
| A:
|
Make sure that
autostart is enabled. To do this, click on the Shoot & Share
tray icon, usually located by the system clock, and make sure that the
line “Autostart Enabled” is checked. If there is no icon, click
on the Start Menu, and Find the Shoot & Share folder, and click on
Shoot & Share autostart.
