          About Zak

Zak Noyle is an outdoor photographer with a truly unique perspective on surf and sea. Based on the Hawaiian island of O‘ahu, Zak spends countless hours in the water, creating dramatic imagery and artful interpretations of the world’s most magnificent ocean environment. He captures an insider’s view, seldom seen, of the beauty and raw power of this offshore world from his perspective besides navigating the waves with just his camera and fins.

Zak has taken his work beyond the waves and his clients range from Apple, Audi, Aqualung, Instagram, Chanel, Lululemon, RedBull and various other global clients. He has worked with international athletes from Micheal Phelps to Kelly Slater and everyone in between, if it involves water there is a good chance Zak has photographed it.
Surf photography requires a certain level of careful planning, hard work and a bit of sheer luck. For Zak, being in the water with his camera when the next big swell rolls through is a lifestyle; it’s an art, and it’s a passion.

          About Stephen

Since opening his studio in New York City in 1983, photographer Stephen Wilkes has built an unprecedented body of work and a reputation as one of America’s most iconic photographers, widely recognized for his fine art, editorial, and commercial work.

His photographs are included in the collections of the George Eastman Museum, James A. Michener Art Museum, Houston Museum of Fine Arts, Dow Jones Collection, Griffin Museum of Photography, Jewish Museum of NY, Library of Congress, Snite Museum of Art, The Historic New Orleans Collection, Museum of the City of New York, 9/11 Memorial Museum, and numerous private collections. His editorial work has appeared in, and on the covers of, leading publications such as the New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair, Time, Fortune, National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, and many others.

In 1998, a one-day assignment to the south side of Ellis Island led to a 5-year photographic study of the island’s long abandoned medical wards where immigrants were detained before they could enter America. Through his photographs and video, Wilkes helped secure $6 million toward the restoration of the south side of the island.

Day to Night, Wilkes’ most defining project, began in 2009. These epic cityscapes and landscapes, portrayed from a fixed camera angle for up to 30 hours capture fleeting moments of humanity as light passes in front of his lens over the course of full day. Blending these images into a single photograph takes months to complete. Day to Night has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning as well as dozens of other prominent media outlets and, with a grant from the National Geographic Society, was recently extended to include America’s National Parks in celebration of their centennial anniversary. The series will be published by TASCHEN as a monograph in 2017.

Wilkes recently spoke at the TED2016: Dream Conference on his Day to Night series. And, in 2016, his photograph Wrigley Field, Chicago, Day to Night, 2013 will be included in Who Shot Sports: A Photographic History, 1843- Present, an exhibition at The Brooklyn Museum.

Wilkes, who lives and maintains his studio in Westport, CT, is represented by Bryce Wolkowitz Gallery, New York; Peter Fetterman Gallery, Los Angeles; Monroe Gallery of Photography, Santa Fe; and ARTITLEDContemporary, The Netherlands.

          About Roberto

Roberto Valenzuela is a photographer based in Beverly Hills, CA. He has been honored by Canon USA to be one of the few chosen photographers to be part of their prestigious Canon Explorer of Light program.

Roberto developed his unique teaching style by following the same practice regimen he developed as a professional concert classical guitarist and educator before becoming a photographer. Roberto believes that it is not talent but deliberate practice that is at the core of skill and achievement. He has traveled to every corner of the world motivating photographers to practice and break down the various elements of photography in order to master them through goal setting, self-training, and constant dedication.

Roberto serves as a chair and judge for some of the largest photographic print competitions in Europe, Mexico, South America, and the most celebrated International photography competitions held in the United States through the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) in Las Vegas, NV.

Roberto Valenzuela teaches private workshops, seminars, and platform classes for the largest photography conventions in the world. He has been an International first place winner three times and has been nominated by his peers as one of the ten most influential photographers and educators in the world. His first book, Picture Perfect Practice, is currently the #1 best seller on Amazon in the wedding photography book category. His second book, Picture Perfect Posing, has also joined the ranks of its predecessor as a best seller and has changed the way people learn posing around the globe. His latest title, Picture Perfect Lighting, is also ranked the #1 top selling book in the world for lighting books. Roberto’s books have been translated into Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, Indonesian, and German, just to name a few, and are sold in bookstores worldwide.

Aside from the world of photography, Roberto enjoys piloting high-performance remote control helicopters. He is a (not so good anymore) classical guitarist, and a table tennis fanatic always on the lookout for a good challenge.

          About Onne

Onne van der Wal is one of the most prolific and talented marine photographers in the world of sailing. He was born in Holland on February 24, 1956 and raised in Hout Bay, South Africa. Before he learned to walk, he learned to sail aboard his grandfather¹s boat. After he progressed through youth sailing training programs, he discovered his passion, ocean racing.

As the bowman and engineer aboard the Dutch maxi-boat Flyer II, van derWal won all four legs of the 1981-82 Whitbread Round the World Race. Along the way, he took his camera with him everywhere he went, even to the top of the mast and the end of the spinnaker pole.

In addition to editorial work, Onne, who is based out of Newport, Rhode Island, has shot for blue chip commercial clients, including Hinckley Yachts, J Boats, North Sails, and Harken.

While he has an artist¹s eye for composition and color, Onne is also a
perfectionist when it comes to the technical aspects of his craft. As a member of the elite Canon Explorers of Light, a group of the most influential photographers and cinematographers in the world, he is always pushing the equipment and the technology forward.

He was one of the first marine photographers to go all digital, and is an early adopter of shooting with drones to get that unique perspective that is higher than a stepladder, but lower than a helicopter. He often works with equipment manufacturers to improve their gear, and shot the 2013 America¹s Cup with a prototype Canon 4K video camera.

Gary Jobson, who won the America¹s Cup as tactician aboard Courageous said, “With Onne’s pictures, you feel like you are either on board or you want to be on board. The cool thing about our sport is everything changes, all the time: the wind, the waves, the light, and the sail trim. Onne anticipates those changes to capture beautiful images.”

Despite all of the accolades and accomplishments over a career that has covered more than three decades and all seven seas, Onne van der Wal is always looking forward to the next assignment. With a smile, he said, “There are two things I need to do great work. One is wind and the other is sun.”
